Sometimes people who do not speak English as their first language describe life in the most poetic way!
I met with one of my Indian friends today who has anything but an ideal marriage. Trying to get her point across, she finally looked at me and said “Marriage should be two hands clapping.” I smiled back at her and bobbled my head with affirmation.
Marriage should be two hands clapping.
I love that picture! It takes both my hand and Adam’s hand to get anything done. And what we are to accomplish is a praise, a loud noise of excitement. We don’t clap when we’re sad. We don’t clap at things going array. We clap when we rejoice. We clap when we encourage others. We clap to celebrate each other.
Marriage should be two hands clapping.
May you “clap” today with your beloved.
