  • β€Ί Held to the Light – A Backlit Autumn Leaf and a Moment of Stillness

Sometimes, the most beautiful moments of fall come when we simply stop and look.

    backlit autumn leaf sunlight
Held to the light, this autumn leaf tells a story only the sun can reveal.

A hand holding a bright orange maple leaf up to the sunlight in an autumn forest. The sunlight glows through the leaf, highlighting its veins.

While walking through the forest recently, I picked up a fallen leafβ€”burnt orange, slightly curled at the edges, and still warm with the memory of summer. I held it up to the sun… and it glowed.

In that light, the leaf transformed. Its veins glowed like tiny rivers of gold. Its colors deepened into fire. All the intricate detailsβ€”the wear, the specks, the quiet signs of changeβ€”stood out with stunning clarity.

That one leaf became a small window into the soul of the season:
    A moment of beauty.
    A moment of change.
    A moment of letting go.

  • β€Ί We Bloom here, out of determination, power, will-power and with a vision

There’s something sacred about the way nature refuses to give up.
Even when everything seems still, lifeless, forgottenβ€”life finds a way to return.
It creeps through cracks, breathes through decay, and reminds us that nothing truly ends.
These mushrooms, growing from what was once a mighty tree, are quiet proof of that truth.
We all carry a little of that same wild resilience β€”
the kind that knows how to rise, even from the ruins.

    We Grew From the Ruins

We were never meant to bloom here β€”
among the broken bark and hollow echoes,
in the damp breath of forgotten seasons.
Yet something ancient stirred beneath the rot,
    a whisper of still alive.

    No garden blessed us,
no gentle hands tended our roots.
    The rain was cold,
the nights were longer than memory itself.
But we rose β€” quietly, stubbornly,
like a spell cast in the dark.

We fed on what the world discarded,
    on silence, on endings,
on the sweet decay of what used to be.
    And somehow,
    it became enough.

    Now we stand β€”
    gold against the grey,
    fragile, fearless,
born of ruin but belonging to the wild.

Let them say this place is dead.
    We know better.
We have danced with the ghosts,
    and we have learned β€”
    how to live again.

  • β€Ί I have waited 30+ years for this.

I am so happy now. Finally my domain name is working on the blog! It cost me a bit of money to upgrade, but it was worth it. Maybe change the design later? Hmmm.

Yes, I have noticed that my post before this doesn’t have a headline/title. I fell asleep while writing it. The eyelids were so heavy.

Hello Pumpkins πŸŽƒ  How are you on this cold October day? Well, I’m in bed right now. Doing some online shopping. The charger for my camera batteries is nowhere to be found, so I ordered a new one where I can charge three batteries at the same time, plus I can charge it via one of my power banks when I’m on the go! The happiness when I found that charger. It wasn’t expensive either, which made me happier.

Today I have actually been out in the cute woods behind where I live. I have lived here for three years, and today was the first day I went there. Insane!

But the day started with shopping and a meeting. I saw the wooden area when I was waiting on the bus and took pics to send to a friend of mine in New Zealand who also is doing photography. Well, let me say like this; the conclusion was – go and buy my very first rain boots ever! Scary! But off I went to the town!

Honestly, it felt so weird to have rain boots on. I didn’t have any when I was younger due to me having wide feet and high ankles, which made it super difficult to find, but now, 30+ years later, I own my very first pair!

You see in the top picture what the boots look like; therefore, they are 50% off! which made me super happy (my smile when I think about it is crazy)!

After the shopping I had a meeting; it went well! Nothing serious, just a simple meeting. Afterwards I went home and put my phone on charge plus the power banks. After looking out the windows, I knew I had to grab my stuff and go out! The sun was disappearing, which makes the light amazing when taking pictures of tiny objects, which in this case were mushrooms. Super cute!

Due to me having diabetes and knowing how fast my feet/toes get cold when it’s autumn and winter, I grabbed my winter socks. So I had two pairs of socks on me. Fit perfectly in the boots.

I used my R10 mostly but also took some photos with the phone and I thought of showing you guys here. Not all off them though but some. I’ll probably tomorrow fix the photos from my cameras and show you those as well.

For me, this woods was magical. I don’t know how to explain, it just was. I was so shocked and surprised when I saw how beautiful the woods behind my home was, I almost dropped my jaw onto the ground. Note that I HATE being out in the woods due to the animals and bugs.

Lately I have discovered that I enjoy macro and close-up more on mushrooms. Is it because it’s autumn or? I don’t know. Before I didn’t do that, but I have also noticed that my eye for details has sharpened! Crazy!

Yeah, so this is pretty much my day. I was not out for long, though; my mind went crazy and grossed me out thinking of bugs in my hair, etc. Especially after I found clothes in the woods, and I moved a pair of jeans, and it was COVERED in disgusting bugs. The panic was no joke!

So what is plus and minus for today ?

Plus; the bargain on the rain boots β€’ the woods behind my home β€’ photographies β€’ meeting that went well! β€’ I didn’t fall asleep in bed while the food was done by M (which is gigantic for me! Whenever I lay down in bed or so and put a blanket on either my shoulders or feet, it’s K.O. (knock out) so I’m happy that I didn’t fall asleep. β€’ I managed to get my domain working

Minus; the bugs β€’ the cold β€’ discovered that someone had taken a screenshot of a snap on my story and later blocked me, so I don’t know who has done it. β€’ finding a suitcase, one fancy men shoe and other clothes in the woods – made me uncomfortable.

    How was your day?

  • Three things right now and a mind I have to calm down, even though it is really hard.

Hello pumpkins! I hope you all have had a beautiful day! Today has been freezing and now you honestly can feel that fall / autumn is here.

Today i have actually been in school for a whole day! Last week (as you can read here) I had to go home from school when I did this it class..

It has been alright today. I managed to fix a presentation (Group project, but I’m very picky of how the presentstions apperance etc) and held a speech infront of the whole class on just barely one hour πŸ™ŒπŸ» Woho!

I participated in both classes today which makes me happy! Hopefully I’ll be able to study and catch up with everyone. We’ll see.

Three things right now;Β  I’m currently listening on a song on repeat. I love It! Antonio Vivald with rawrawrawrrawr – hayde hayde hayde.Β

Have your heard it? I absolutely love this song

I’m actually gonna go to bed. I am so tired

    I will blog tomorrow.
