• β€Ί Hello from Skopje, North Macedonia | My Day Trip from Sofia

Hello from Skopje, North Macedonia! πŸ‡²πŸ‡°

How are you all doing? Me? I have a headache thanks to the heat and the sun. πŸ₯΅

Skopje was so much more interesting and fun to photograph than NiΕ‘, Serbia.

    Tired Emma

I’ll show you everything later. I just found a decent enough internet signal to make a quick post!

➀ Skopje, North Macedonia ➀ Sofia, Bulgaria ➀ Bed.

I’ll be back at the hotel around 11:00 p.m.
Yes, I did some shopping, but I mostly went hunting for a fridge magnet that said North Macedonia. It was surprisingly hard to find one. I finally did… and honestly, I don’t even like it. πŸ˜‚ But I collect a magnet from every country I’ve visited.

Well… not Norway, Finland or Sweden. Those don’t count. πŸ˜…
    So far I have:
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Venice, Italy, NiΕ‘, Serbia and now Skopje, North Macedonia

Anyway, I’m just waiting for the bus back now. Wish me luck!

Yes… I fell asleep twice on the way here. I probably snored really loudly, but I honestly don’t care. πŸ˜‚ I’ll probably fall asleep on the way back too.

    I’ll write more later. πŸ–€

  • β€Ί Travel Note: From Sofia to Skopje – Rain, Wrong Turns & A New Adventure

Good morning my beautiful EverFlow family. πŸ–€ I hope you’re all doing good!

I know I didn’t share any photos from NiΕ‘, Serbia yesterday. I was completely k.o. when I got back to the hotel. I actually fell asleep on the bus, so a person woke me up at the border so when it was control, after that i was awake the rest of the way back to Sofia. At the hotel i was completely knocked out and woke up at 2:32 PM yesterday!

But I promise I’ll show you all the photos from NiΕ‘! Don’t worry. I will show everything (except from camera because I haven’t export to the hard drive yet – will do when back home in Sweden)

NEXT STOP ➀ SKOPJE, NORTH MACEDONIA

I’m currently on the bus, heading to Skopje, North Macedonia. Let’s go!!

This morning has been brutal though. Rain, wet shoes, and I forgot to pack an extra pair of socks, which sucks!

But while I was waiting for the bus, I realized something. I don’t think anyone talks about this part of traveling enough. The part where you’re standing at an unfamiliar bus station before sunrise, trying to figure out where you’re supposed to be. But after a confusing morning with alot of stress, almost cry panicking and a few wrong turns, I finally found Sector 41.

I guess sometimes the journey starts long before you reach your destination.

And honestly, finding the bus to NiΕ‘ was easy but finding this one? Oh my god…

  • β€Ί Sunrise Over Sofia, Bulgaria Before My Day Trip to NiΕ‘, Serbia

Good morning, my beautiful souls. πŸ–€

Today is the day for my first trip ➀ Niő, Serbia!

I’m currently on the bus, on my way to Serbia, and I can honestly say… I’m exhausted. I was so exhausted that I actually fell asleep and missed all   my alarms.. ALL OF THEM! Luckily I woke up at 6.22am so I got ready fast and rushed to the metro / subway and now I’m here β€”  just waiting to board the bus.

I’ve noticed that ever since I arrived in Bulgaria. I’ve set several alarms so I could wake up early to catch the sunrise and take some photos with my camera, but I’ve honestly slept through every single one of them and ended up waking up around noon instead. It’s pretty frustrating, to be honest.

I’m going to try and get some sleep on the bus now. Hopefully I won’t snore… or sleep through the border crossing and forget to turn on airplane mode on my phone. πŸ˜‚

➀ Sofia, Bulgaria ➀ Niő, Serbia ➀ Sofia, Bulgaria

Today’s plan? Photography, water, sports drinks, and hopefully finding something to eat that my stomach actually approves of.

I’ll be taking photos with both my phone and my camera. I use my phone so I can share photos with you here on The EverFlow a little faster. πŸ–€

BUT NOW I’M ON MY WAY! NIΕ , SERBIAΒ  NEXT! (Once I’m in the bus)

(I took this photo in a rush just for this post!)

  • β€Ί Last-Minute Shopping in Sofia Before My Day Trip to NiΕ‘, Serbia

    Good evening from Sofia, Bulgaria!

I hope you’re all doing well! Me, on the other hand, am melting away in this heat. πŸ₯΅

I went shopping today. I bought an ugly and I mean UGLY Nike backpack to use tomorrow and on Wednesday. Yes, I actually planned ahead for once. πŸ˜‚ My son will be using it for school afterwards, so it’s not just for these two trips.

Today’s shopping (God, I’ve been shopping so much while I’ve been here. I’ll make a full list later… if I can remember everything.)

    βœ… Backpack
    βœ… Sports drinks
    βœ… Salted chips
    βœ… Pepsi Max

I’ve already packed my backpack for tomorrow since I’m trying to stay awake all night so I don’t miss the subway to the bus station. My bus to NiΕ‘, Serbia leaves at 7:30 a.m. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

    Nope… I still haven’t slept.

    βœ… Extra clothes
    βœ… Drinks
    βœ… Chips
    βœ… Passport
    βœ… Medicines
    βœ… Extra bag
    βœ… Electronics
         ➀ Camera battery charger
         ➀ Phone charger
         ➀ Two power banks
         ➀ Extra camera batteries
         ➀ Camera
         ➀ Two lenses
    βœ… One pair of shoes
    βœ… Hand sanitizer
    βœ… Wipes

That’s pretty much it. I’ve probably forgotten something, but right now I’m lying in bed trying to get some rest. I’ve set 15 alarms, so hopefully I’ll actually wake up and get my ass to the subway in time.

These two day trips are just the tip of the iceberg. I’ll finally be able to cross a few things off my bucket list. Even if it’s only for a few hours, I’m still visiting three countries in two weeks. That’s a lot for me, and I’m beyond excited!

    On another note…
My vacation is coming to an end, and that makes me feel a little bit of everything.
I’m sad because the time has gone by so fast, but I’m also happy because I’ll finally get to kiss my baby boy and give him the biggest hug. ❀️

  • β€Ί ADHD Chaos: I Accidentally Booked Two Day Trips

    ✨️ Whoopsii ✨️

    MORE ADHD CHAOS!
And trust me, this is even worse than the purple hair dye!

It’s currently 5 a.m. here in Bulgaria, and I just had a crazy idea. Since I was bored, I opened Google to see if I could visit another country bordering Bulgaria while I’m here in Sofia.

Being bored & having ADHD is clearly a dangerous combination πŸ˜‚

    OOPS!.. I DID SOMETHING!

    Adventure time!

Two Day trips within three days.
    Two different countries!

    Pinch me!

    Monday (20th) ➜ NiΕ‘, Serbia πŸ‡·πŸ‡Έ
    Wednesday (22nd) ➜ Skopje, North Macedonia πŸ‡²πŸ‡°

    AAH! I AM SO EXCITED!!

The buses leave ridiculously early both times, but hey… I managed to stay awake when I travelled to Bulgaria, so I don’t think it’ll be a problem.

Guys… a day trip to another country? Twice?!
I’m beyond excited, but I’m also in complete shock. I knew it was possible to visit another country within a few hours, but this? This is absolutely ridiculous!

Before I fly home to Sweden on the 24th, I’ll have visited two more countries.

So this vacation will officially look like this:
    Sweden ➜ Bulgaria ➜ Serbia ➜ Bulgaria ➜ North Macedonia ➜ Bulgaria ➜ Sweden

    How crazy is that?

Funny little fact: I was actually planning to spend my vacation in Skopje, North Macedonia, but at the very last minute I changed my mind and booked Sofia instead.

Looks like I’m getting to visit Skopje after all!

Well… I guess my ADHD brain planned the rest of my vacation. I got bored in Bulgaria and somehow end up booking day trips to two different countries. Let’s see if this turns out to be the best idea I’ve ever had… or the worst. πŸ˜‚ Who knows? It might be the best part of the trip.

But honestly, sometimes, having ADHD can be both a blessing but also a curse. At this moment, its a mix of both. A blessing because it came up with these ideas and curse because it made me purchase the tickets.

Life with ✨️ ADHD ✨️ is wonderful.. sometimes.
