› Travel Note: From Sofia to Skopje – Rain, Wrong Turns & A New Adventure
Good morning my beautiful EverFlow family. 🖤 I hope you’re all doing good!
I know I didn’t share any photos from Niš, Serbia yesterday. I was completely k.o. when I got back to the hotel. I actually fell asleep on the bus, so a person woke me up at the border so when it was control, after that i was awake the rest of the way back to Sofia. At the hotel i was completely knocked out and woke up at 2:32 PM yesterday!
But I promise I’ll show you all the photos from Niš! Don’t worry. I will show everything (except from camera because I haven’t export to the hard drive yet – will do when back home in Sweden)NEXT STOP ➤ SKOPJE, NORTH MACEDONIA
I’m currently on the bus, heading to Skopje, North Macedonia. Let’s go!!
This morning has been brutal though. Rain, wet shoes, and I forgot to pack an extra pair of socks, which sucks!

But while I was waiting for the bus, I realized something. I don’t think anyone talks about this part of traveling enough. The part where you’re standing at an unfamiliar bus station before sunrise, trying to figure out where you’re supposed to be. But after a confusing morning with alot of stress, almost cry panicking and a few wrong turns, I finally found Sector 41.
I guess sometimes the journey starts long before you reach your destination.
And honestly, finding the bus to Niš was easy but finding this one? Oh my god…

› Last-Minute Shopping in Sofia Before My Day Trip to Niš, Serbia
Good evening from Sofia, Bulgaria!
I hope you’re all doing well! Me, on the other hand, am melting away in this heat. 🥵
I went shopping today. I bought an ugly and I mean UGLY Nike backpack to use tomorrow and on Wednesday. Yes, I actually planned ahead for once. 😂 My son will be using it for school afterwards, so it’s not just for these two trips.
Today’s shopping (God, I’ve been shopping so much while I’ve been here. I’ll make a full list later… if I can remember everything.)
✅ Backpack
✅ Sports drinks
✅ Salted chips
✅ Pepsi Max
I’ve already packed my backpack for tomorrow since I’m trying to stay awake all night so I don’t miss the subway to the bus station. My bus to Niš, Serbia leaves at 7:30 a.m. 😵💫
Nope… I still haven’t slept.
✅ Extra clothes
✅ Drinks
✅ Chips
✅ Passport
✅ Medicines
✅ Extra bag
✅ Electronics
➤ Camera battery charger
➤ Phone charger
➤ Two power banks
➤ Extra camera batteries
➤ Camera
➤ Two lenses
✅ One pair of shoes
✅ Hand sanitizer
✅ Wipes
That’s pretty much it. I’ve probably forgotten something, but right now I’m lying in bed trying to get some rest. I’ve set 15 alarms, so hopefully I’ll actually wake up and get my ass to the subway in time.
These two day trips are just the tip of the iceberg. I’ll finally be able to cross a few things off my bucket list. Even if it’s only for a few hours, I’m still visiting three countries in two weeks. That’s a lot for me, and I’m beyond excited!
On another note…
My vacation is coming to an end, and that makes me feel a little bit of everything.
I’m sad because the time has gone by so fast, but I’m also happy because I’ll finally get to kiss my baby boy and give him the biggest hug. ❤️ -
› ADHD Chaos: I Accidentally Booked Two Day Trips
✨️ Whoopsii ✨️
MORE ADHD CHAOS!
And trust me, this is even worse than the purple hair dye!
It’s currently 5 a.m. here in Bulgaria, and I just had a crazy idea. Since I was bored, I opened Google to see if I could visit another country bordering Bulgaria while I’m here in Sofia.Being bored & having ADHD is clearly a dangerous combination 😂

OOPS!.. I DID SOMETHING!
Adventure time!
Two Day trips within three days.
Two different countries!
Pinch me!
Monday (20th) ➜ Niš, Serbia 🇷🇸
Wednesday (22nd) ➜ Skopje, North Macedonia 🇲🇰AAH! I AM SO EXCITED!!
The buses leave ridiculously early both times, but hey… I managed to stay awake when I travelled to Bulgaria, so I don’t think it’ll be a problem.
Guys… a day trip to another country? Twice?!
I’m beyond excited, but I’m also in complete shock. I knew it was possible to visit another country within a few hours, but this? This is absolutely ridiculous!
Before I fly home to Sweden on the 24th, I’ll have visited two more countries.
So this vacation will officially look like this:
Sweden ➜ Bulgaria ➜ Serbia ➜ Bulgaria ➜ North Macedonia ➜ Bulgaria ➜ Sweden
How crazy is that?
Funny little fact: I was actually planning to spend my vacation in Skopje, North Macedonia, but at the very last minute I changed my mind and booked Sofia instead.
Looks like I’m getting to visit Skopje after all!Well… I guess my ADHD brain planned the rest of my vacation. I got bored in Bulgaria and somehow end up booking day trips to two different countries. Let’s see if this turns out to be the best idea I’ve ever had… or the worst. 😂 Who knows? It might be the best part of the trip.
But honestly, sometimes, having ADHD can be both a blessing but also a curse. At this moment, its a mix of both. A blessing because it came up with these ideas and curse because it made me purchase the tickets.
Life with ✨️ ADHD ✨️ is wonderful.. sometimes.

› Exploring Sofia, Bulgaria: Getting Lost, Unexpected Kindness & An Eventful Evening
Exploring Sofia is a challenge. You get lost (if you are me) and its rare to find people who speak English. Don’t trust Google AI for directions and Google maps just confuses you. Atleast for me.

Hey guys! How are you all?? I know i haven’t answered your comments BUT I SEE THEM 🥰 I will answer them tonight – promise.
Yesterday I did some more damage on the cards (Yes, I went to an other shopping mall) but not as what I have spent so far – honestly its mostly on drinks I spend the most money on I have noticed. I bought two packs of hair dye and a set of hair ties. Yes your girl will dye her hair while being here in Bulgaria.
I have seen so many elderly women go with shocking purple, red, blue, green, even yellow hair colors and.. I LOVE IT! I love that they are so comfortable to do it. Me? I’m preparing myself mentally for this hair dye im gonna do. Will show you later but for now… its a secret – well not really – it’s purple.
Last night I I went out for walks. In the heat. With barely any air and no breeze. Plus people crowded everywhere so you felt like a fish in a tuna can.
Exploring, urban Exploring or what you would call it – I document life.
THE CUTEST THING HAPPENED While taking photos on different doors etc a cute couple came up to me when they saw I had a camera and asked me to take pictures of them. Ofcourse! I took a few photos and they were so sweet. “Can We pay you!?” I laughed and said no no its fine. All off the sudden the boyfriend offered me discount on tattoo (he is a tattoo artist) – TEMPTING Yes, not gonna lie but I said its ok and thanked them.
So when I’m on my laptop I will transfer the pics and edit to send them.

After many hours of being out in the heat, with shoulders screaming in pain due to crossover bag that was heavy, I decided to go back to the hotel. Rest my shoulders and get some AC going. I didn’t stay long . Maybe 1,5h later I was put again but this time – with a back pack. Much better but my shoulders are so sore today, haha!
Taking night pictures, exploring areas in dark (no this time i was around people all the time. Didn’t walk off) and just .. soak all the prettiness.
While being on my walk, with headphones on, I heard a massive fight and curious as I am, I went there. But instead of just “watching” I jumped into it. I saw men run fast as (sorry for this) HELL from all over to help out separate the two guys that was fighting. I was in the middle, screaming “ay!” And stop. There were kicks to the head on one dude, punches etc.
I know – EMMA WHY TF ARE U GETTING YOURSELF INVOLVED? Well, it have always done that. It’s in my nature and I never think of the consequences of waht could happen.
All off the sudden, while I was in the middle – mind you that I was holding my camera in one hand, trying to separate and stop these guys – in the middle of the “soup” (swedish saying) a man came and touched me on my shoulder so I looked and was ready to punch him but he just told me to come with as good English as he could. I felt he wasn’t a danger so I followed him. We didnt walk to a shady area, he took me to the front of the Mosque. So relax! I was safe.
He tried to explain as best as he could that the guys were on drugs – and when he said that – I knew for sure I am not getting involved – I had to actually THINK before action. Normally when fights I’m more – Action & ask later. Now I was Think first & Do the action?
It was one very interesting evening. Nothing special happened after this – luckily- so I just took photos.
Enjoy a few photos I took with my phone.
(Camera pics will come later but for now – only phone will be shown here)——————————————————————————
Time to go out again. Wish me luck! The heat is killing me.

› Hello From Sofia, Bulgaria! My First Days, Shopping & Exploring the City
I slept for 18 hours, damaged my credit card and questioned people’s winter jackets plus being catcalled by old men and horribly rude staff in stores (the stores part will be a whole own post)
Welcome to Sofia with me, Emma – Everflow. Not your typical lifestyle travel blogger but here we are! First official post from Sofia but be ready for many more! Two weeks. Yeah. A lot is coming for sure.
Hot, sweaty, a lot of people and strong sun that causes me to have an extreme migraine.
The view of the balcony of my room. Interesting view for sure
I know I said I would blog when I arrived in Sofia. Well… I just went to a supermarket (Lidl) and bought drinks and water. I went straight to the hotel afterwards and was knocked out for 6 hours!
At night (when I woke up), I went out on the balcony and saw… I don’t know how many flying light objects “playing” around in the sky. I watched them for a few minutes while being on the phone, letting people know that I’m safe. After that, I went to bed and was knocked out for 12 hours. Yeah… I guess I was a bit tired.
So today I have done some damage to the credit cards. Well, not so much damage except food and drinks. Mostly water. Yes, I know the water is safe to drink in Europe, but there is something special about bottled water.
Today I went shopping for a cabin suitcase. After yesterday, my shoulder is destroyed from carrying the “cabin bag” I took from home. So when I went to Mall of Sofia (I will write about that one later — review etc.), I saw a store with 50% off bags etc., so I went in there and bought the beauty in the picture. Yes.. i bought a brown one. It was the biggest size of cabin suitcase they had.
I also went to Lidl and bought water, Pepsi Max (of course), toothpaste plus toothbrushes and a water bottle.
(The little toiletries box I bought in Sweden with toothpaste and a toothbrush… worthless…)
Of course, I went exploring as well, so below you can see some photos I have taken with my phone today. I had my camera with me, but it’s too hot outside to use it right now, so I’m gonna wait until later and take photos.
Btw, I’m dying in this heat and some people make me raise my eyebrows. Some are walking around in puffer winter jackets… IN THIS HEAT! Meanwhile, I’m over here dying. 💀The Sofia Hotel AC
International icon. Migraine fighter. Life saver. Occasionally freezes Emma to death.
I will update more, but for now, the AC is my best friend — even though I’m freezing while lying in front of it, it helps with my migraine.
No. I won’t put anything over me — a blanket or something — because if I do, I will be K.O. (knocked out) and sleeping.
Hahaha.ENJOY A FEW PICTURES I HAVE TAKEN TODAY (so far)
