› 10 Days Later: Still Fighting the Pain After Breaking My Foot
Hey guys!
So sorry that I haven’t been updating EverFlow like I normally do (texts etc. Like this post), but hopefully that will change soon. No… it will change soon! I also apologize for the lack of communication from my side. I see all your comments and love 🖤 I will answer them as soon as I can! I also want to apologize for not sharing photos yet from my trip but they will come. Be prepared!
How are you guys? Happy new month! (Yeah, I know… we’re already three days into it. 😂)I hope you’re all doing fantastic. Thriving, growing and, most importantly, being happy!
My main focus lately has actually been my foot and my knee. It hurts so much, but because I’m stubborn I’ve already started walking on my foot again. Do I suffer because of it? Absolutely. Am I supposed to be resting with my foot up? Yep. But is there really time for that? Not really. Housework, mom life… life doesn’t exactly hit the pause button.
Today I have actually challenged myself. Not a small challenge… a big, exhausting one.
Normally it takes me about five minutes to walk to the store and another five minutes back. Today? Twenty minutes each way. Forty minutes in total… and let me tell you, I do not need a gym membership while I’m on these crutches. 😂 That is one thing for sure!
The sweat was definitely sweating, I can assure you. Imagine me jumping around on crutches while E walks at the speed of a cheetah. It was basically Snail vs. Cheetah.
It’s been 10 days now and my foot still hurts. Like I said above… and no, I still haven’t been given any painkillers, no matter how many times I’ve asked.
So to try and ease the pain a little, I bought a pair of compression socks because the area around my toes is getting absolutely destroyed from walking the way I do with the boot.
It actually helped a little… but it also squeezed parts of my foot I didn’t even know existed. 😂 So, of course… more pain. Those socks are TIGHT. Like… “is my blood circulation still working?” tight. I wore one for two days, though. I even fell asleep with it on the first night.
Yep… that’s pretty much my life right now.
I’m just hoping, wishing and praying these next few weeks fly by, because I’m honestly getting pretty tired of being in pain. -
› Enough Adulting for Today

Enough adulting for today.
For the first time ever — in my whole life — I defrosted my freezer. Never needed to before, but now? Oh god, it was time.
Yes, I admit it, I have never done it before except on my chest freezer and due to the heat in Sweden right now, I felt so stressed. No, I’m not ashamed to admit this 😂We have something called “Röt Månad” which basically means that food and drinks go bad really fast.
So imagine me using a metal spatula, boiling hot water, three bath sheets and one hand towel trying to defrost everything as fast as possible.
Honestly, I wish I could say “enough adulting” but sadly I have a lot more to do before it’s time to go to sleep for the night. Fold laundry, clean up, make dinner, pack E’s bags, get him ready for sleep. Shower (again), pack my cabin bag and yeah 😵💫 so much.Wish me luck – I’m gonna need it.

› Exhausted But Can’t Sleep? Why Won’t My Brain Shut Off?
Your body is begging for rest, but your brain refuses to shut up.

Isn’t it wonderful when your body is tired but your mind is going on high speed like it’s on something and never wants to shut up? You know what I mean? Have you experienced this?
Today, for the first time in.. forever as it feels like, I finally had arealgoodsleep in – scratch the real good part – which I should be happy about. Am I? No. Why? I woke up early, tried to fall back asleep because E isn’t home and – honestly.. THIS MOMMA IS TIRED – after a long time I did.. half sleep.. half awake. My body is super tired but my brain.. feels like it’s on something – I don’t know what but I hate it.
So today, I have been tired. I have been exhausted but I’m still awake – no, I will not do the 32+h sleep deprivation again.
So today has been a “chill” day – store, salad for dinner, ice cream and started to pack the suitcase – again. I’m currently in bath and I’m s t r u g g l i n g to stay awake.
So today hasn’t been that exciting.
Makeup but meeeh hair 🤌🏼 (filter)
Oh I did makeup for the first time in a while 💀 People stared at me when I was at the store.. I don’t know why? Is it because the eyebrows didn’t match my hair? Or were they uneven? Meh, doesn’t matter.
This… Just this!! $42 / €37

› Currently. Overwhelmed.

Why is this trip more overwhelming than the trip I did to Italy?
Is it just me, or do some trips feel heavier before you even leave?
I honestly don’t know — maybe some trips just come with chaos attached to them. So who knows how this one will turn out.. 💀 …maybe good, maybe bad. All I know is that this trip feels more chaotic than the others I’ve been on.

› How I Stepped Out of My Comfort Zone Despite Body Insecurities
Stepping out of my comfort zone while struggling with body insecurities felt terrifying, but after 30+ hours awake, six bus rides, and a full day of parenting, I still challenged myself to do something scary.
Even with zero sleep, I still did something my son loves — riding the bus.
We went into town to buy my Propud for smoothies, berries, and other essentials, but also to help E practice his social skills.
Two stores, heavy backpacks, and significantly poorer later…
We came home with a toy for E, candy, Pepsi Max (yup, of course), six protein shakes for my smoothies, frozen mangoes and raspberries, a bag of chips, ice cream, bananas, nicotine pouches, on-the-go yogurt, an energy drink, and a can of Pepsi Max.

Let me count…
1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6.
Six bus rides in just two hours.
That’s honestly insane.
At the same time, I challenged myself by stepping way out of my comfort zone — which felt terrifying.
How?
I tied up my shirt so it became a cropped top, meaning I showed a bit of my stomach (see pictures), and I also went out wearing lace leggings.
I never show my stomach, so that alone was huge for me.
Funny enough, the leggings were actually too big for me, which is a pretty massive result of my ongoing weight loss journey — WOHO!
That gives me even more motivation to keep going and reach my goal.
At least E was happy, and I didn’t crash, so I’ll call that a win 🙌🏼
I can honestly say I’m pretty impressed that even after 30+ hours with zero sleep… I was still up and walking.
