A Few Glimpses of My Tuesday

Today has been rainy all day, and honestly, I’m a little disappointed about it.

I wanted to go out and take sunset photos with tiny macro details, but yesterday the sun was way too harsh, and today the weather forecast promised the rain would stop in the morning.

    Well… they were very wrong.

It has been raining all day, and it’s still raining right now.

Still, the day has been pretty calm.

I took the bus to bring my son some clothes, and on the way I ended up rescuing around 15 snails from the road so they wouldn’t get run over by bikes, scooters, or people walking past.

“Come here, little friend,” I caught myself saying every time I picked one up and moved it safely into the grass.

Which is funny, because I actually dislike bugs, snails, and all those tiny creatures… but somehow I still rescue snails. The ones with shells, at least.

Those giant black killer snails, though? Absolutely not.

    So yes.
A rainy, sleepy, snail-rescuing kind of Tuesday.

    Honestly, a pretty okay day.

    How was your day?

  • › Something I’ve been waiting for

The smile I have right now is insane.

Hello my beautiful friends! ❤️🌸 I hope you all are doing well this Saturday.

I thought I would post a “Dear Diary” post with exciting stuff!

Today I finally picked up my package from the post office!

I had actually forgotten that I had a package to pick up but remembered it when I saw the app on my phone.

You all know I’m a photographer and I have a lot of gears but is right now all over my home because I don’t have a camera bag that fits it all.. Well now I do!

A professional camera backpack from Tarion! No, this is not an ad or sponsorship. I bought this with my own money.

Not the best photos because I had to rush taking them. My son wanted to have it (no equipment in it yet.!)

He repeatedly said his name and bag ~ “Exxxxxs bag” so I had to explain to him that it’s mine and what it is for. Lol.

  • › A not-so-quiet and calm morning

We thought it would be a slow morning, but we were very wrong.

    Tornado boy

We woke up to E moving around in bed like a tornado. He usually comes to sleep with us during the night to feel safe, so this is nothing unusual.

I was already wide awake at that point. Mentally I wanted more sleep, but my body had clearly decided otherwise.

    Then suddenly M said,
    “He’s going to throw up.”

I barely had time to react before I instinctively put my hands under his mouth — and yes, correctly.

I quickly lifted him out of bed while using my hands as a temporary bucket. M looked completely panicked for a second, probably because it’s very rare that E throws up, so I just yelled:
    GET A BUCKET!

Thank God for my unusually big hands. Honestly, I don’t even want to think about where everything would have ended up otherwise.

We’re currently on the sofa watching YouTube and trying to have a calmer rest of the day.

My poor little man. I hope that E and the day gets better ❤️

  • › A small moment that happened

    A quiet moment I know I’ll remember.

This AI picture of me and my parents. I don’t have a picture of us together, so I am so happy that AI could make this one for me. Of pictures of my parents and me. Combined three photos into one.

A small moment today that I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

My non-verbal son looked at an AI-generated photo of me and my parents and said “grandma” and “grandpa” in Swedish for the first time.

It was the very first time he said it, and I’m sitting here in tears and is still emotional when I think about this moment.

  • › A simple moment from today’s dinner

    Pancakes

Today I had dinner in a simple, unplanned way  by standing by the stove.

It wasn’t planned, just a simple moment in the middle of the evening.

I noticed how ordinary it felt, but still calm in its own way.

A small moment, but it stayed with me.
