• β€Ί Shopping Adventure #2 β€” I Said I Was Just Looking…

Shopping adventure today as well! Not as much damage as the other day, but still a lot of damage πŸ˜… At least the bank account doesn’t cry today.

Natural candy (almonds, cashew nuts etc.) ● five empty spray bottles (they came in one pack) ● sodas ● phone charging cable (3m!) ● blister bandages (again. I forgot mine at home, so I had to buy another pack) ● permanent markers (so I can label the bottles with what they contain) ● a new hairbrush ● ice cream (review later) ● reusable makeup remover pads ● a travel-size hand sanitizer and probably more β€” I am so exhausted. Sleep deprivation plus people. Woho.

The original plan was to go into town to meet up with my son’s friend’s mom and give her something they requested for E, then go to the store to buy the candy (nuts), travel-size bottles and look for a new phone charging cable β€” JUST LOOK. Not buy one.

    Oops.

Well… that decision changed quickly when Elin and I discovered they only had one black cable left, so I grabbed it. No doubt.

No, I don’t have a picture of everything I bought. It has been 250 mph all day, but I managed to take a picture of the box with the cable (I opened it so I could charge my phone while I’m taking a bath β€” yes, I have my phone with me when I take a bath).

I think I have everything now for my trip (except some food I can eat while waiting for the plane, but I’ll buy that on Saturday or Sunday. I leave Sunday night).

  • β€Ί Shopping Adventure, Mochi Disaster & Bulgaria Countdown

Shopping adventure β€” First time me and my bff/cousin (God, I’m tired of writing that so I don’t care anymore β€” Elin, yes that’s her name) β€” ELIN, went to the new store that opened in town.
Normally I LOVE this store but this one… there’s something about it that I don’t like, but I can’t put my finger on it.

I still did some damage to my card β€” yes, my account is crying.

Hair dye ● travel perfume bottle ● mouth hygiene kit (I know I said I could buy toothpaste and a toothbrush in Bulgaria, BUT COME ON! Look how cute it is! β€” below) ● two different sodas I’ve never heard about ● chapstick (E has ruined my other ones) ● earplugs ● mochi (not sure if I spelled that correctly) with the flavors Strawberry Cheesecake and Salted Caramel β€” read the verdict below ● two bags of Maltesers (obsessed!) ● blister bandages ● Coca-Cola for Elin ● sunscreen & aftersun lotion (gonna put them in my travel bottles) ● travel serum bottle ● probably more but I can’t remember at the moment.

    β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

    The Mochi Reviews & Verdicts

The Verdict: I LOVE Strawberry Cheesecake and Salted Caramel (two separate bags), and I had NEVER tried mochi β€” until yesterday.
Elin laughed at me. She loves them and knew the texture etc. I didn’t. When I opened the little bag of Strawberry Cheesecake, my eyes literally became πŸ‘€ and I gave Elin the bombastic side-eye.
The first bite? Oh God. The taste? Bleh. Verdict; AWFUL

Salted Caramel: I looove salted caramel, so of course I bought that flavor as well. Opened the bag β€” it smelled different than salted caramel, but I didn’t think much of it. Took the first bite (Elin at the same time as me) and we have NEVER spat out something so awfully disgusting so fast in our lives. Verdict:Β  HORRIBLE

My soul left my body.” When we say that, we mean it was awfully disgusting.

    Points: -100/10

    β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

I’m going to another store this week before I leave to see if I can find those travel-size spray bottles and a sharpener for my eyeliner. Two things.

I can’t believe I’m leaving soon. I found out about the trip when there were 50+ days left, and now… there are six days left.

Excuse me? Where did the time go?

  • β€Ί 7 Days Until Bulgaria… And I’m Slightly Panicking

One week left, a chaotic brain, and a suitcase full of stress and excitement.

Porch talk ● 7 DAYS TIL I GO TO BULGARIA! Now that’s crazy!

I have been to three countries and I hate flying, every single time BUT honestly, I dislike being “stuck” in one place. I want to explore so unfortunately I have to go by plane πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

The worst part about flying is takeoff and landing. Once I’m in the air, it’s mostly fear.

So I’m feeling stressed. My mind is all over. Packing, documents, medicines, etc. Do I have everything? Do I need to buy anything? Do I have everything?  So yeah, my mind is pretty chaotic right now.

Still in this stage – I am excited! I get to explore a whole new country (okey not a whole country but a new location).

    So right now, I’m at 70% / 30%
70% stressed and terrified (flights, time to change flight in Vienna etc) and 30% excited!

Honestly, I think the 70%/30% will be 0%/100%  when I’m there and don’t need to worry about the flight but enjoy the vacation – just me, my camera going click click click, and a whole lot of memories to capture.

But let’s go! I’m gonna panic over my suitcase and the packing now – as usual.

  • β€Ί Currently. Overwhelmed.

Why is this trip more overwhelming than the trip I did to Italy?

Is it just me, or do some trips feel heavier before you even leave?

I honestly don’t know β€” maybe some trips just come with chaos attached to them. So who knows how this one will turn out.. πŸ’€ …maybe good, maybe bad. All I know is that this trip feels more chaotic than the others I’ve been on.

  • β€Ί Wait… Bulgaria Is In 19 Days?!

Time to Pull Up a Chair Β·

A chaotic little pre-trip checklist before Bulgaria β€” mostly so I don’t forget anything. Packing lists, random purchases, and yes… rice.

    A cartoon looking me. Lol!

Bulgaria trip is coming up way faster than I thought. Today the countdown shows 19 days.

In 20 days I will be in Bulgaria! That’s insane!
Wait… Emma, what? 19 & 20? I will be at the airport on July 12th BUT the flight doesn’t leave until 06.30am on July 13th.

Leave for airport – July 12
Flight to Bulgaria – July 13

What I can buy in Bulgaria:
This might sound weird but bear with me. I will explain below.

    Toothpaste + Toothbrush
    Shampoo & Shower stuff
    Rice

I can probably buy more but for now, that’s what I have come up with now.

Now for the explanation… why I can buy those things in Bulgaria: it may not take much space but I would rather buy those things in Bulgaria than risk having an explosion in my suitcase. Rice? I will bring an extra sock so I can fill it with rice and make a little beanbag that works as a tripod for night photos etc instead of bringing my tripod with me, which I did when I went to Italy β€” so… let’s just say I won’t be doing that again.

Wow I didn’t expect the post to be this long with just; what I have, need, and don’t.
