› Glimpses of my weekend
Glimpses of my weekend – week 20 {may 15-17}

Another weekend has come to an end and oh boy, has it been a roller-coaster of emotions, moments and thoughts.
Friday ; E didn’t have any school {only the after-school school thing} and when he came home, we went on a car ride. Just, to go for a ride and change environment for a bit. Well, see something else.

Sunset. Not fall. Saturday; unfortunately, the bug found us. The sick bug. We had a calm day. Had to go to the store, though, and E had a face mask on. No gems were escaping—have no fear! A face mask is here to protect everyone. Lol!
Sadly we had to go to the store three times , yes you read correctly. Every time, E had a facemask on and we kept distance from everyone. When chrck out, E stood at the end of the checkout so i could pay etc with no worries for anyone
Don’t worry {we kept distance. E had face mask and I barely spoke}

Round one; carrots (for me. Weighloss), bread, roasted onions (for E and his stomach) and Pepsi Max. As usual. We also bought an ice cream to E.
Round two; bananas.
I made a smoothie with passion fruit, strawberries, blackberries, mango and raspberries. Oh my. It was sound so I had to add a pinch of sugar in it. I didn’t like that I had to add some sugar so.. I decided I needed bananas. So off we went again. Additional on shopping; chocolate.

So bright.
Round three ; package.
We came home from round two, and we were sitting in the living room. Me checking my phone, noticing the post office app, and remembering I had a package to get. So off we went. I even joked with E, saying, “What you don’t have in your head, you surely have in your legs, but now we can’t come back for a fourth time. Three times is enough.”
At home again sadly E threw up again. So back to the couch and blankets.

Sunday ; staying home & bubbles
Today we have been home, chilling. Although we had to go to the store once to buy French fries and bread..again.
I finally remembered that I bought E a new bubble machine when his broke, so today he got it and oh my, was it a hit!! He has emptied two cans of soapbubblesmix.
I also did a little DIY fix on my tripod. When I was going to fix it and put on the bag, I noticed the plate that holds the camera when using it was coming off, so I brought out the big guns ~ the box with all the screws. Unfortunately I only had a long one that fit the hole, but hey, at least I can use it now.
Photos from the weekend.

The bruise is after I smacked my knee in the livingroom table last Thursday (14th of May) and this is how it looks now.

› Something I’ve been waiting for
The smile I have right now is insane.
Hello my beautiful friends! ❤️🌸 I hope you all are doing well this Saturday.
I thought I would post a “Dear Diary” post with exciting stuff!
Today I finally picked up my package from the post office!
I had actually forgotten that I had a package to pick up but remembered it when I saw the app on my phone.
You all know I’m a photographer and I have a lot of gears but is right now all over my home because I don’t have a camera bag that fits it all.. Well now I do!

A professional camera backpack from Tarion! No, this is not an ad or sponsorship. I bought this with my own money.

Not the best photos because I had to rush taking them. My son wanted to have it (no equipment in it yet.!)
He repeatedly said his name and bag ~ “Exxxxxs bag” so I had to explain to him that it’s mine and what it is for. Lol.

› A not-so-quiet and calm morning
We thought it would be a slow morning, but we were very wrong.

Tornado boy
We woke up to E moving around in bed like a tornado. He usually comes to sleep with us during the night to feel safe, so this is nothing unusual.
I was already wide awake at that point. Mentally I wanted more sleep, but my body had clearly decided otherwise.
Then suddenly M said,
“He’s going to throw up.”
I barely had time to react before I instinctively put my hands under his mouth — and yes, correctly.
I quickly lifted him out of bed while using my hands as a temporary bucket. M looked completely panicked for a second, probably because it’s very rare that E throws up, so I just yelled:
“GET A BUCKET!”
Thank God for my unusually big hands. Honestly, I don’t even want to think about where everything would have ended up otherwise.
We’re currently on the sofa watching YouTube and trying to have a calmer rest of the day.
My poor little man. I hope that E and the day gets better ❤️

› A simple moment from today’s dinner

Pancakes Today I had dinner in a simple, unplanned way by standing by the stove.
It wasn’t planned, just a simple moment in the middle of the evening.
I noticed how ordinary it felt, but still calm in its own way.
A small moment, but it stayed with me.
