• › A Weekend in Snapshots

Let’s try to make a weekend recap every weekend. It might be difficult, but I’ll try. It would actually be fun to look back and see what I’ve been doing. Lol!

This weekend (July 5–7th, 2026) has not been anything special. Sweden’s National Day was yesterday, so E and I had meat, fries, and of course, veggies!

Weekend recap with food, watermelon and smoothie

Long story short — my weekend in a few words:

Laundry ● Grocery shopping ● Soap bubbles ● Football in the basement hallways ● Migraine ● Sweden’s National Day ● Trying a new smoothie recipe ● Home spa

Grocery shopping: expensive as hell (sorry!) — $80 for THIS. < Link

Friday: meetings and snapshots of random things.

Saturday: playing football with E in the hallways in the basement. Oh man… We played for so long while waiting for each load of laundry. – spa night at home.

Weekend glimpse of spa night and photography

Sunday / Today: a chill-ish day. I played with M and basement football again, but sadly I had to leave for a while while M stayed home because I had a massive migraine. (I still have it, but it has calmed down a little so I can at least write this.)

And yes… grocery shopping again today—$70. WHY!? On what!? Just the watermelon alone cost me $12.

Other things I did this weekend: I finally had a little spa night. Face masks, cleansing, serums, moisturizer—the whole shebang, felt so good. Honestly, I do not remember the last time I did that, but it has been a long time.

Smoothie talk! Normally I make smoothies with frozen berries and milk (plus protein powder), but after a few minutes it always turns into some weird mug cake texture if I do not drink it immediately. So I Googled different ideas and found one saying to defrost the berries first and use water with just a little milk.

I tried that—except I used a vanilla milkshake protein shake instead of milk—and oh my God… it was delicious. And thick!

Raspberries, mangoes, and strawberries with a vanilla milkshake protein shake (sugar-free).

    10/10 honestly.

This is pretty much a little bit of my weekend. Nothing fancy or entertaining  – haha!

  • › Recap of the weekend

This weekend has been both lovely but also very difficult.  I’m kinda glad that the weekend is over due to my stress and tiredness.

positive thing • as you might have read before. We had a picnic outside in the beautiful weather. We went on a car ride and found this beautiful spot to have a picnic on. I love water and the beautiful color changes that is happening now.

country side, colors and family time. what else could I ask for?

Today we are just gonna relax and prepare for a new week with school, meetings etc.

  • › Weekend recap (small)

and so has the weekend come to an end and tomorrow it’s a new week with new goals and new possibilities!

    The weekend’s recap .. hm.

Friday : School from 8am to 11am (math) and after school I went to the event and waited on my husband. We walked for 30 mins til I had to catch the bus home. My son came home from his sleep overs. So I got to cuddle a lot with him

Saturday : husband worked so E and I stayed home, watching TV, build with Lego etc.

Sunday : Prep for school week. Cuddle, laughing, chasing each other with ovenmittens, laughing more. Went to the store and the bath time. When sleeping I packed his schoolbag for tomorrow. Today’s choice of dinner from E (he said the word) Hamburger so I added fries as well (a childhood tradition for me. Fries and hotdogs on sundays)

I have packed my bag as well (school 8am til 11am). Changed pencilcase. Refilled what was needed (pens, clippers etc). I also packed down my workout shoes but I can’t go tomorrow to the gym.  I must go home and do laundry (I forgot I had booked time but luckily I remembered when I had packed them. lol)

I hope you all had an relaxing weekend and is full of energy for the week that come!

    goodnight!
