Negative thoughts

What’s the best way to deal with negative thoughts?

Oh this one is hard to answer. I struggle myself with negative thoughts but I always tell people “write it down on a piece of paper and burn it”.

That’s how I did to escape the deepest depression i had when I was younger. I wrote and wrote and wrote and wrote. Today? I don’t do it. I wish but I don’t have a safe place to burn the papers.
