• › Life Lately | A Little EverFlow Update From Home

A little look at everyday life, social training, motherhood, getting around on crutches, and dealing with an injured foot.

    Hello my spicy pumpkins! 🖤

    🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

How are you all doing today? I hope you all have an amazing day / evening!

I thought I should post a mixed blog post with a bit of what I’ve been doing lately when I haven’t been blogging. Mostly photos though. A picture say more than a thousand words – isn’t that the saying?

E and I have been social training a couple of times — at the same time as we’ve been grocery shopping, but these times have been in town. Not at home. So it has been a lot of bus rides and walking. Shopping, spending time together, laughs, happiness but of course tears and sadness. Nothing special has happened with the sadness, but you can’t always have bright, colorful and happy days.

Alone on the bus. Take which ever the seat you want.

Telling him to slow down and go next to me is impossible.

Trying to keep up with the same speed as E when walking — that must look interesting and funny. Screaming blue crutches, a heffalump (me) dressed in black and probably with a backpack as usual. Even the thought of that makes me laugh! Like… what!?

Do you know the boy who copies and making fun of his mom when walking? Little boy!

Thief. Always steal my extra legs. Haha!

I thought I’d share some photos from the time. I’m currently in bed, resting my foot, neck and stomach. Stomach pain after today’s visit to the hospital.

Update on my foot: 8/10 pain right now.

    Ice Cream Date

    Random pics from the time.

Broken adapter.. I accidentally dropped it on the floor. Now I know how an adapter for phonecharger looks like inside.

    I need these as tattoos.

  • › 10 Days Later: Still Fighting the Pain After Breaking My Foot

    Hey guys!

So sorry that I haven’t been updating EverFlow like I normally do (texts etc. Like this post), but hopefully that will change soon. No… it will change soon! I also apologize for the lack of communication from my side. I see all your comments and love 🖤 I will answer them as soon as I can! I also want to apologize for not sharing photos yet from my trip but they will come. Be prepared!

How are you guys? Happy new month! (Yeah, I know… we’re already three days into it. 😂)

I hope you’re all doing fantastic. Thriving, growing and, most importantly, being happy!

My main focus lately has actually been my foot and my knee. It hurts so much, but because I’m stubborn I’ve already started walking on my foot again. Do I suffer because of it? Absolutely. Am I supposed to be resting with my foot up? Yep. But is there really time for that? Not really. Housework, mom life… life doesn’t exactly hit the pause button.

Today I have actually challenged myself. Not a small challenge… a big, exhausting one.

Normally it takes me about five minutes to walk to the store and another five minutes back. Today? Twenty minutes each way. Forty minutes in total… and let me tell you, I do not need a gym membership while I’m on these crutches. 😂 That is one thing for sure!

The sweat was definitely sweating, I can assure you. Imagine me jumping around on crutches while E walks at the speed of a cheetah. It was basically Snail vs. Cheetah.

It’s been 10 days now and my foot still hurts. Like I said above… and no, I still haven’t been given any painkillers, no matter how many times I’ve asked.
So to try and ease the pain a little, I bought a pair of compression socks because the area around my toes is getting absolutely destroyed from walking the way I do with the boot.

It actually helped a little… but it also squeezed parts of my foot I didn’t even know existed. 😂 So, of course… more pain. Those socks are TIGHT. Like… “is my blood circulation still working?” tight. I wore one for two days, though. I even fell asleep with it on the first night.

Yep… that’s pretty much my life right now.
I’m just hoping, wishing and praying these next few weeks fly by, because I’m honestly getting pretty tired of being in pain.

  • › When Self-Care Turns Into Self-Reflection

Pull Up a Chair · A personal reflections on perfectionism,  self-care and learning to let things grow naturally 🖤

Normally Sunday is a home-spa night for me but I had to do it now – Tuesday. You know, cleansing, scrubs, masks etc. The whole shebang.

After these two intense days of trying to make everything perfect for EverFlow, I realized I had become too obsessed with perfection and had to force myself to stop — which was a massive struggle for me.

I will let this house stand on its own foundation, and we can decorate it together over time.

Yes, I have changed my focus for EverFlow. It is no longer just a place for me to share, but a home with room for others too.

I have created a new category with a few subcategories that I will introduce later, when the time feels right. What I can say for now is that it feels more inviting… and it makes this space feel less like “me, me, me” all the time. I have been feeling that for a while now, so I decided to change directions.

EverFlow will always be my home — my place to write, vent and share life as it flows. But I also want this home to feel welcoming, like a place where you can sit down, stay awhile and feel like part of something.

I hope you all understand what I mean.

Funny how a simple spa night turned into this realization…
