    Glimpses of my weekend – week 20 {may 15-17}

    Another weekend has come to an end and oh boy,  has it been a roller-coaster of emotions, moments and thoughts.

    Friday ; E didn’t have any school {only the after-school school thing} and when he came home, we went on a car ride. Just, to go for a ride and change environment for a bit. Well, see something else.

    Sunset. Not fall.

    Saturday; unfortunately, the bug found us. The sick bug. We had a calm day. Had to go to the store, though, and E had a face mask on. No gems were escaping—have no fear! A face mask is here to protect everyone. Lol!

    Sadly we had to go to the store three times , yes you read correctly. Every time, E had a facemask on and we kept distance from everyone. When chrck out, E stood at the end of the checkout so i could pay etc with no worries for anyone

    Don’t worry {we kept distance. E had face mask and I barely spoke}

    Round one; carrots (for me. Weighloss), bread, roasted onions (for E and his stomach) and Pepsi Max. As usual. We also bought an ice cream to E.

    Round two; bananas.

    I made a smoothie with passion fruit, strawberries, blackberries, mango and raspberries.  Oh my. It was sound so I had to add a pinch of sugar in it. I didn’t like that I had to add some sugar so.. I decided I needed bananas. So off we went again. Additional on shopping; chocolate.

    So bright.

    Round three ; package.

    We came home from round two, and we were sitting in the living room. Me checking my phone, noticing the post office app, and remembering I had a package to get. So off we went. I even joked with E, saying, “What you don’t have in your head, you surely have in your legs, but now we can’t come back for a fourth time. Three times is enough.”

    At home again sadly E threw up again. So back to the couch and blankets.

    Sunday ; staying home & bubbles

    Today we have been home, chilling. Although we had to go to the store once to buy French fries and bread..again.

    I finally remembered that I bought E a new bubble machine when his broke, so today he got it and oh my, was it a hit!! He has emptied two cans of soapbubblesmix.

    I also did a little DIY fix on my tripod. When I was going to fix it and put on the bag, I noticed the plate that holds the camera when using it was coming off, so I brought out the big guns ~ the box with all the screws. Unfortunately I only had a long one that fit the hole, but hey, at least I can use it now.

    Photos from the weekend.

    The bruise is after I smacked my knee in the livingroom table last Thursday (14th of May) and this is how it looks now.

    What’s a thing you were completely obsessed with as a kid?

    Elephants! Oh ever since I was a young girl I have been obsessed with elephants.

    I actually got an stuffed animal that I got on christmas eve 1992. I was two years old.

    Til this day, I still have him. No i am not ashamed to admit that. 35 soon 36 years old and still have her stuffed animal since childhood.

    Not in the bed though.

    Fun fact: my son didn’t want the elephant as a baby, so I kept the elephant to myself. I have tried ever since then, but he refuses my elephant every time.

    I actually want to go to Africa and take photos of wild elephants! I have seen elephants in real life, but at the zoo in Sweden, and I cried. I cried because I was happy seeing one, but mostly I cried because it was awful how tiny an area they had. The prison-looking and -feeling area. I hate zoos.

  • › A small moment that happened

    A quiet moment I know I’ll remember.

    This AI picture of me and my parents. I don’t have a picture of us together, so I am so happy that AI could make this one for me. Of pictures of my parents and me. Combined three photos into one.

    A small moment today that I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

    My non-verbal son looked at an AI-generated photo of me and my parents and said “grandma” and “grandpa” in Swedish for the first time.

    It was the very first time he said it, and I’m sitting here in tears and is still emotional when I think about this moment.

  • › A simple moment from today’s dinner

    Pancakes

    Today I had dinner in a simple, unplanned way  by standing by the stove.

    It wasn’t planned, just a simple moment in the middle of the evening.

    I noticed how ordinary it felt, but still calm in its own way.

    A small moment, but it stayed with me.
