Currently observing an artist in process

Observing the artist and he’s struggle to get his art stuck on the wall
I wasn’t sure what I was looking for, I just started paying attention to what was already there.

I had to blurred some stuff on some pictures due to having our names on it.
Yes I will remove them when he is sleeping. He has already ruined the wallpapers so I will do it. Wish me luck. He has used tape so I had to hide it)
Watching him doing this made me think of the way he draw, the way he pick colors and it is not random. How much we practice to pronounce and say the colors (he is non-verbal) and watching him fight the struggle to get them to stay. The determination.
I’ve started paying more attention to things I don’t fully understand yet.

I wonder. If he pursues his arts, if he can follow line work toward bridging the hemispheres of the brain and begin to conceptualize words? Pictures can be concepts. As are words. Like hieroglyphics.

Yeah we are practicing (spelling?) to color inside lines but in future he hopefully will be able.

All I can do is wish you the best. That happiness and equanimity follow.

yeah it is a massive progress for my son due to his autism and non-verbal because he can tell and explain easy . Thank you!

Oh, that’s so wonderful. I know a bit about the Tism. It’s something I studied in college, and worked with in school. A different end of the spectrum, mind. Anywho.

Yeah when my son got the diagnosis I didn’t know what autism was. I had only heard the word so i have been reading, studying etc about it so now we work alot with it to teach him to be able to communicate with us and with people.

Well. It wasn’t always as “trendy” as it’s become. I lived with a lot of shame from my diagnosis. Now, it’s almost hip. Thanks to Dr. House.

Yeah now it’s popping up everywhere but it’s good though. Atleast in my opinion because people learn more

That’s fair. But one has to be careful – use your intuition. There’s grifters and junk pedalers who prey on the souls of beautifully devoted mothers

Yeah I don’t trust people who say they have ADHD and tell alot of junk.

Good! That’s another criminally over diagnosed thing.
